[NHS News] Natural product-based pharmaceutical developer BICHEDAM Co., Ltd. (CEO Moon Ho-bin) participated in the ‘2025 Agri-Food Technology Investment Roadshow’ held on November 26 at Seoul Dragon City in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, unveiling its first prototype and embarking on full-scale commercialization.

BICHEDAM Co., Ltd. is a biotech startup developing degenerative disease therapeutics and health supplements based on herbal ingredients. At this event, the company unveiled, for the first time, a liquid-form health supplement prototype designed to help relieve nighttime leg muscle cramps and improve blood circulation.

This product was developed based on BICHEDAM Co., Ltd.’s core technology, a herbal ingredient–based ROCK (Rho-associated protein kinase) inhibitor mechanism, with a focus on enhancing safety and ease of administration for long-term use in elderly patients. The product is undergoing final quality verification and certification processes, aiming for a commercial launch in August.

In particular, at the event, BICHEDAM Co., Ltd. showcased its technological capabilities and development achievements to attendees, including Song Mi-ryeong, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and shared its vision for addressing degenerative diseases, a major issue in an aging society.

CEO Ho-bin Moon stated, “Through this event, we were able to directly observe the industry’s strong interest in our herbal-based technology,” and added, “We will accelerate product launches and business expansion to create a new category in the health supplement market.”

Meanwhile, BICHEDAM Co., Ltd. opened a company-affiliated research institute at Yeungnam University last month and is currently accelerating its R&D by preparing for a domestic Phase 1 clinical trial in collaboration with Chungbuk National University Hospital.

In addition, following a successful seed investment in the first half of 2024, BICHEDAM successfully completed its Pre-A round, reaching a total cumulative investment of KRW 2 billion, thereby securing a stable growth foundation. The company has also been selected for the TIPS program by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, focusing on strengthening its R&D capabilities.
