241108 KIOM Hosts Performance Exchange for Korean Medicine Industry Support Program

Technical Talks, Presentations, and Roundtables Foster Intercompany Collaboration

(Gyeongbuk=NSP News) Reporter Dae-won Kim = The Korea Institute for Advancement of Korean Medicine (KIOM, Acting President Je-su Shin) held the “2024 Performance Exchange Meeting for the Full-Cycle Support System in the Korean Medicine Industry” on the 7th at the Le Meridien Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.

The event was organized to establish a cooperative framework among Korean medicine–related companies and to share achievements.

During the meeting, special lectures were conducted on practical topics essential for business operations, including “Technology Valuation and Utilization Cases” and “Marketing Strategies for Overseas Expansion,” which received strong positive responses from the participants.

In addition, BICHEDAM and IMW, recognized as leading Korean medicine companies, presented the outcomes of their technological innovations, highlighting the future potential of the Korean medicine industry.

CEO Ho-bin Moon of BICHEDAM stated, “Through collaboration with the Korea Institute for Advancement of Korean Medicine (KIOM), we are developing ‘BCD101,’ a treatment for age-related hypertension (ISH) with proven safety and efficacy. We ask for continued interest and support as we strive to become an innovative bio-pharmaceutical company based on natural compounds.”

The exchange meeting was attended by 24 Korean medicine–related companies, including those specializing in herbal formulations, Korean medicine convergence, and medical devices. Participants also shared challenges encountered in the Korean medicine industry and discussed potential solutions.

Je-su Shin, Acting President of KIOM, remarked, “This performance exchange meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of technology exchange and intercompany collaboration in the Korean medicine industry.” He added, “Through support for the development of Korean medicine products and technologies, we will continue our efforts to revitalize the industry and promote its expansion into global markets.”
