250609 Daegu–Gyeongbuk Angel Investment Hub Successfully Concludes 2nd Angelwave IR Camp

The Korea Angel Investment Association’s Daegu–Gyeongbuk Angel Investment Hub hosted the 2nd Angelwave IR CAMP 2025 to support local startups in securing investment.

The camp, held over two days from the 4th to the 5th at The K-Hotel in Gyeongju, was designed as a program to intensively strengthen the seed investment capabilities of early-stage startups in the Daegu–Gyeongbuk region.

The camp featured a structured curriculum combining theory and practice. On the first day, it began with a special lecture on “How to Prepare IR Materials to Persuade Investors,” followed by mock IR presentations by participating companies and first and second-round group coaching sessions.

On the second day, participants underwent an advanced IR deck review and storytelling-focused group coaching, culminating in a final IR presentation before professional angel investors and accelerator evaluators, where each startup had the opportunity to showcase its technology and business model.

A total of 11 startups from diverse sectors including biohealth, mobility, robotics, and medical devices participated in the camp. Key participating companies included: BICHEDAM (developing natural product-based therapeutics for degenerative diseases), BRIGHT (wireless charging for electric mobility), ROGISTICS (autonomous forklift robot platform), SMED (embolization material medical devices), STIGMA (intelligent bin-picking robots), GOPA (herbal cosmetics tailored for Black consumers), HAEDAM (functional herbal health supplements), CRATERS (low-noise controlled grinder), MALDALIZA (automatic sports video filming), CREAMOFF (pet biometric monitoring), and CAMPTER (all-in-one camping experience solutions).

Among the participating companies, BICHEDAM recently successfully secured a Pre-A investment of 1 billion KRW from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation and is drawing attention as its key drug pipelines have entered the clinical trial stage.

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Angel Investment Hub plans to operate a total of four Angelwave IR Camps quarterly this year, with two sessions successfully completed so far.

Lee Joo-hyun, Director of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Angel Investment Hub, stated, “Through intensive two-day group mentoring, we aim to strengthen startups’ investment attraction capabilities and continuously support them in expanding tangible investment opportunities by matching them with suitable investors.”

Meanwhile, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Angel Investment Hub of the Korea Angel Investment Association operates various programs, including investment support, mentoring, and networking, to revitalize the startup ecosystem in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions.
